Ice Age 4 Continental drift review

A great family movie - if you enjoyed the previous Ice Age movies, you'll love this one! We popped this movie into our player, cooked up some popcorn, and had a real great family time.

Ahoy, matey! Blue Sky Studios unveils a brand new chapter in one of the most successful film franchises of all time. Bringing together the visually epic and the emotionally powerful, ICE AGE: CONTINENTAL DRIFT sets sail on Blu-ray™ 3D, Blu-ray™, and DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment on December 11, just in time for the holidays.

Sub-zero heroes Manny, Diego, and Sid embark upon a high-seas adventure after their continent is set adrift. Using an iceberg as a ship, they encounter sea creatures and battle pirates as they try to reunite with their herd. In the wake of these upheavals, Sid reunites with his cantankerous Granny, and the herd encounters a ragtag menagerie of seafaring pirates determined to stop them from returning home.

I have to admit I'm usually wary when it comes to sequels, let alone a fourth installment, but I do have to admit that I really did like this movie. What is not to like when our favorite squirrel, Scrat, tries to bury his acorn now causes a split in the earth causing a continental drift (and a few other well-known events).

My take on the movie...I loved it! We have some great actors in this movie and once again Ice Age delivers with it's 4rth sequal.  It had a great story line and very funny with enough adult humor to keep the whole family entertained. I would of loved to see this in the theaters in 3D.  My kids loved it and as I said, it was a great opportunity to have some quality family time.
